    You get paid in shares of the company, rather than cash. If we used WDC as an example, they might offer 1 share in WDC for every 290 shares you own in 4DS, which would indicate a current bid equivalent to 30c Australian.

    WDC have 313 million shares on issue, they would issue an additional less than 5.2m shares to 4DS owners (ignoring dilution from options).
