Is it really underwhelming? He gets 15% of the sales bonus pool. He willingly stepped down from CEO and halved his cut from 30% to get Ken on board. Now, it is possible Guido is exhausted and just needed to step aside, but it's also possible the BOD envisage this change will more than double the eventual sale value.
There is not a plausible scenario where this is wrapped up in a fire sale in the next six months.
