Yeah. Optane speed is between DRAM and NAND.
So far as we are led to believe, 4DS is faster or as fast as the latest DRAM. Either DDR5 or 6.
So 4DS could excite some more.
But that's just it.... I've been putting hypothesised performance metrics in front of these guys and none of them are excited.
theres more to adoption than great specs it seems.
Willy implied as much at AGM... "We get a new idea for a memory stack every week ... We're not interested"
those new ideas surely must include stellar specs
no one gives a shit.
the entire sector is risk averse like saucie boi.
i think they need manufacturability, cost to produce and probably most importantly... addressable market.
they need all this on top of stellar specs.
intel is still doing us a solid in trying to establish the entire next generation memory sector.
losing a $bill every couple years doing so... Not an appealing market yet.
sell into this market at own risk....
take Desus approach and wait for the market to grow legs? Also at own risk of further competition establishing...
