I think people are getting stuck on the wrong emphasis.
You're right, to a point, size does not matter.
smaller is better, more attractive. Anything around 20nm (or under) is winner winner chicken dinner
as to the rest of your story... it's romantic... and old hash would love to join you waltzing up that garden path.
