@dim81, I think PL2 'almost worked'...but clearly didn't work like it should have worked...



I've been giving some thought to your point no.1 (regarding the mask steps causing the problem). I haven't yet dismissed the 'Tinkerbell effect' (you know, the pixie from the Peter Pan story that could sprinkle magic pixie dust to make things fly). Maybe the etch residue issue last year (that caused electrical shorting) was also a bit like Tinkerbell's magic pixie dust & managed to get something to fly on Platform Lot 2. I think it's interesting that without the etch residue, PL3 is just plain broke. We can probably add that one to the growing list of technical anomalies that 4DS might need to re-investigate / resolve at some stage during the years ahead (if they manage to survive).
