So what about the patents being co-owned. WBT have sole rights to use the technology as part of the development partnership. Patents are only there to protect that part of the design & development from being copied and are also have a limited lifecycle. They either get renewed, superseded or dumped.
As long as the applicable areas of the design is protected that is all that matters.
US 25b just for EMBEDDED and growing at around 6.7% annually.
We will in the not so distant future will have our DISCRETE memory class with our world class selector (used for both embedded and discrete) ready for fabrication playing in the same pond as 4DS plus fulfilling the demands of other discrete devices.
With WBT technology it is possible that it can scale down to 5 nm.
As WBT has said “ They want to have WBT ReRAM in every electronic device in the world” . A huge statement but with the interest at this point and the fact that a TIER 1 Fabricator has approached WBT to manufacture @22nm speaks volumes for WBT technology.
But again what is your point in regards to this graph.
I you are looking at it at this point of time then look at the whole picture.
At this point of time 4DS is in development looking at producing a 1mb array for commercial fabrication targeting a US$ 110b market.
WBT are about to put into production 130nm Embedded NVM, Taping out 22nm Embedded NVM and have been asked to develop down to 11nm NVM in a U.S. $25b market.
WBT are also enhancing the development of our DISCRETE technology and the development of Discrete memory in different Form Factors to cover the whole array of Discrete products.
This market value will far exceed US$110b.
If we add in AI into the picture to which wbt are further developing and enhancing the technology you could add a few more US $b dollars to the market pot.
Also add in the development of PM and PIM and you can add a few more bn dollars into the market pot.
