The above expression is confusing, because there are 2 possible interpretations:

1. It is likely that it is compatible; we know

OR

2. May be it is compatible: we dont know

It is rather un-usual for any native speakers, to express this way, in contemporary English.

My educated guess is, often these announcements were written by some old school lawyer, trying to be extra cautious, by preventing any possible repercusions on their legal liability.

Potentially: may be yes may no

Likely: may be yes

CompatiBLE: Yes

it is better in my opinion, to use direct tense or active voice and not passive voice to avoid confusion.

E.g.

Passive voice: The glass of water was drunk by me.

Active voice: I drank the glass of water.

Effective communications are about bringing the message across clearly and succintly, by adopting simple and plain English.

A wrong choice of words can easily cause a wrong interpretation and hence sending the wrong sentiment to us investors.

I personally urge the BOD to pay extra attention in the choice of words and be more definitive in their expressions, if possible avoid any strange or unfamiliar expressions that would cause us to strangle our brains to make guesses or sense of their intentions.
