4DS - Anything but Charting, page-2745

The saying goes "Hope for the best, plan for the worse". When the buyout happens at $20, or just shy of, all holders but especially LT investors deserve a bit of a treat, some "self care" like nobody's business. But I think while it makes sense to plan for the worse it is not a bad idea to plan for the best also. We have all heard or read of lottery winners who soon found themselves back where they started.

I'm sketching plans for the best and plans for the less than ideal. After the yachts been ordered and the ergonomic golden throne has been installed, I have been outlining some ideas about how this once in an investing lifetime windfall can be made to have a material difference to the rest of my life.

Emergency cash will be topped up, a large portion of the capital will be earmarked for investment and deployed as opportunities arise. A very good result from the buyout would significantly expand my capital base and allow me to de-risk my overall portfolio.

To each their own in how they enjoy the fruits of their success. As future alumni of 4DS class 2019 (2020?) let's hope we can look back in 10 years time and remember it as being all very worthwhile.
