fair enough, I understand that it can happen that way, I'm just thinking that it's more of a guideline than a rule. In the case of the mining co., I believe the acquisition price was based on the value of the assets at the time.
Seems silly to me that if an SP was dragged to low price then it can be acquired for peanuts, I'm no expert in these matters. I still think the final buyout price will not be based on the SP, but each to their own I guess.
