My first impression about the in-person in invite was that it had to be something next-level-ish, not just another standard PL discussion (done online perhaps, save travel expense etc). As you mentioned we don't know if this was done previously so trying not to get too excited about it.
Tempering expectations is a good way to go, gonna try that as well. We'll see what the next part of the rollercoaster brings. Agree, next steps should be promising long-term at least.
