Development work in conjunction with a new partner in some form of formal arrangement (MOU, terms agreement etc) - share price goes up (trust built, we are validated) [ and i don't mean WD/HGST who really don't seem to give a rats behind]

Development work solo under current arrangements - share price drops (Trust evaporates, no one is interested, we have been sold a dud)
