Why could he not say, "with results achieved to date we have met our minimum objectives that we have been targeting. Continued testing will further expand our understanding of the limits and by how much we exceed the minimum requirements that the industry wants to see. These objectives are inline with what we have been advised the industry needs through previous strategic discussions with IMEC and our partner HGST." This way it doesn't guarantee anything but it does at least sound like they know what they have been doing all along and know what it means.



rather than "if we meet our goals, maybe players will be interested." Putting it this way sounds as if it hasn't really met the goal, and so no one is really interested...and they have been guessing all the way along.
