Credible, I guess. Or the option is that he is the leader of the company, and therefor of course is going to express how amazing the tech is. Not likely he is going to say,
"yeh, listen I guess it's alright, we don't think its revolutionary, but you know...it goes ok. We are trying to get excited about it, but it's just that it's kind of good but not great".
And there for the silence is because they are working on the scope for the next round of further development into a 4DS chip. This is probably quite complex so will take time.
My bet (uninformed of course) is that it is not some sort of sale being negotiated, it is purely figuring out the next steps of technical furthering of the technology.
DM saying that it is amazing mind boggling, could be him just trying to represent the opportunity in the most positive light. It is purely a subjective opinion, not objective, so no one could ever hold him to it.
