Aside from my views on continuous disclosure obligations, lets not forget the effect retention has on endurance too;

If you can switch 2 billion times, but you only have to do that once every n where n is (retention - safety margin)

Those 2 billion switchings are going to take n x 2billion times to occur. or stated more succinctly, product lifetime = retention x endurance. not to mention that you CAN'T calculate power savings or switching frequency without a retention value, meaning their "as good as dram but betterer" argument is meaningless because the "but better" part of that cannot be calculated. they're intentionally omitting a required factor for valuation.

So again, if the market is going to be able to understand ANYTHING meaningful about this product we NEED a retention metric. The stupid thing here is that they're happy to announce interim endurance figures, despite having not reached the limit of endurance, but they wont release retention figures, when the retention limit on THIS LOT has been reached multiple times and is a much more complete data set ON THIS LOT.
This is why I'm not going to drop it until we get an answer, I don't care which end of the market we are aiming for, retention is a critical aspect of the technology and in my view, critical in terms of providing a valuation.

They exactly did that, announcing to the market retention being evident without conducting robust testing.

Don't get me wrong, I would love to see retention figures but will need them to conduct the required testing to provide the data.

Maybe the question to DM is when will 4DS conduct the testing to provide retention figures.
