Well you can’t sell the same IP twice.
Any initiation by WD will no doubt force the hand of Intel or Nvidia to step in and bid for the IP……. probably sooner than they would probably like. I think realistically Intel or Nvidia could probably just as easily take the next step to 20nm without us …. Maybe take Ting as well or become a development partner with 4DS and with a guaranteed purchase price on success at 20nm.
WD will only possibly take a license, but there will need to be strict limits on use of that license. Giving a license for 20 years
I think waters down the value of our IP as it prevents a buyer having ‘total’ control of the IP and the market.
