its important to understand - and most posters and in get this svestors don't get one simple very relevant fact - pcmo HAS been developed into a working memory cell BY OTHERS...- VERY SIGNIFICANT OTHERS at 60nm....
manufacture at nodes that make it commercially viable has been out of reach to these significant others as the cost per bit to to overcome scale issues in switching (ionic drift and return through the bulk area of the switch to evidence significant retention) and 'annealing' success at temperature commensurate for pcmo at the smaller process proved unviable.
IMEC may crack it at 20nm ...it will need to - that is the money shot for a return here ....even the sniff of a return.
this is not not my opinion - it is the reality of the situation on the ground in pcmo
