    Definitely a lot of possibilities out there ... but one has to back a horse at some point.

    The thing I found interesting about those videos is how far past the capabilities of the traditional technologies we are actually pushing (especially with the load AI puts on things). SRAM and DRAM are really both at (and, in reality, beyond) their capacity to operate efficiently, and are now costing large amounts of space and power to perform the tasks asked of them.

    Things like 3D stacking DRAM are bandaids, and may not actually be practical in the end. SRAM is now taking so much space up on chip that some SoCs are actually 90% memory chip and 10% processor services ... that has to break at some point (it's ridiculous!)

    4DS has always aimed at the same point, somewhere between DRAM and SRAM, whereas other techs have had different ambitions. Those videos are just a demonstration of how flaky the technology has become, and 4DS have struck some more development points with a quasi-analogue system which could open a whole new world of argument if it proves itself viable.

    Maybe 4DS is the galloper ...
