That YouTube video is quite confronting considering A.I is still in its infancy. My mind boggles when I think of the amount of data we are already generating. Even advances in things like 5G have had huge impacts on data generation, but A.I is going to take data generation to another level……. If resources and infrastructure allow it.
A lot of the data that is generated needs to be stored but not all of it needs to be accessed instantly. With the help of 4DS a lot of it will hopefully be able to be accessed as ‘warm’ data working alongside DRAM memory servers and will help reduce power consumption and data bottlenecks.
What price can you put in that ?
I also see ‘edge’ computing being more important taking pressure off data centers, so that devices that are operating at the ‘edge’ are not constantly required to access live data networks to access relevant data. This will have huge impacts on battery life.
