    Hi @mjshackl and anyone else interested............................again, I'm just spitballing here................

    Still 'playing' with my understanding of how 4DS will 'pitch' their stuff.

    Got to a point where I was breaking the market into 2 segments. The 'centralised' service offerers and the edge / device offerers. Sometimes / often companies might do both of course.

    Take Apple for example........................this is a cut and paste from a 'chat'

    Edge Computing / Devices

    iPhones

    • Benefit from 4DS IP: Enhanced processing power and energy efficiency, leading to better performance for AI tasks like facial recognition, augmented reality (AR) applications, and voice assistants (Siri). Improved battery life would result in longer usage times and reduced heat generation.

    iPads

    • Benefit from 4DS IP: Similar benefits to iPhones, with enhanced performance for multitasking, graphics-intensive applications (e.g., Procreate, games), and professional software (e.g., video editing). Improved battery life and performance would make iPads more competitive as laptop alternatives.

    Apple Watches

    • Benefit from 4DS IP: Increased processing efficiency would allow for more advanced health monitoring features, faster data processing, and improved battery life. This would enable more accurate and timely health insights, as well as enhanced fitness tracking and app performance.

    HomePod

    • Benefit from 4DS IP: Enhanced processing capabilities would improve the performance of the Siri voice assistant, enabling more complex voice commands and faster responses. Better energy efficiency would reduce power consumption and potentially enhance audio processing for higher quality sound.

    AirPods

    • Benefit from 4DS IP: Improved energy efficiency and processing power would enhance features like noise cancellation, sound quality, and battery life. This would provide a more immersive audio experience and longer listening times between charges.

    Centralized Computing Offerings

    iCloud

    • Benefit from 4DS IP: Enhanced data center processing power and energy efficiency would lead to faster data synchronization, backups, and retrieval for users. This would improve the overall user experience by making iCloud services more responsive and reliable.

    Apple Music

    App Store

    Summary

    So started thinking in terms of what comapnies would be interested and tried to classify them into these categories and arrived a t this....................another cut and paste..................

    Thinking about marketing along those lines, I got the impression that Apple would benfit most form the perspective of point of difference over the competitors within the 'Edge' sector. Likewise, the edge sector might have more to gain that the 'centralised' providers.

    Do you have any thoughts on that?
