I'd also suggest that the results of PL4 guided the company decisions.
Those metrics, especially the speed, knocked it out of the park and have made the tech a genuine contender to replace DRAM (imo). I see a similar introduction of 4DS RERAM to the space as NAND did. That is, run in parallel to/augment a legacy tech, then eventually replace it.
But to do that, being able to get down to geometries used in mobile/edge devices needs to be demonstrated.
