Power savings are a fantastic outcome, but what the tech is showing promise to do goes WAY beyond that. The energy saving aspect was the big point the company wash pushing prior to achieving full PCMO.
Speeds much faster than DRAM, getting on a par with SRAM, although they are asymmetric. Ability to scale down and stack in 3D. Variable read voltages to achieve analogue memory.
