yeah, we've touched on the analogue stuff before but for people who cant search / have short memories, theres two cool applications for analogue storage

    1. applications that deal with analogue data (ai blah blah blah)
    2. the potential to leverage a much higher storage capacity per cell -
    * in normal applications a cell can hold 1 bit of data - this is either 0 or 1. sometimes they can hold 3 bits, using 0, 1, or high impedance. but for the most part, 1 bit per cell.
    * in a theoretical application of our analogue storage, we could store a voltage, and then read and translate that voltage to a value MEANING that each cell could potenitally store a multi bit value, or a "word" or "symbol" as known in certain applications. this could result in a much higher storage capacity, a much higher effective thruput in certain applications, and the ability to use encoding to get even more storage or error checking.

I could write a f*ing novel on how cool this stuff is but yeah, its DEFINITELY worth investigating as an application, in parallel to the "replace dram or flash" application.
