My amatuer opinion is it is obviously an iterative process. Jumping from 60 to 20nm is not a mere tweak of what works, it is likely an order of magnitude at least in difficulty, due to the introduction of unknowns. I recall reading even for the big boys, chip success on first attempt is between low, between 10 to 25%.
So if this one fails, hopefully enough is understood and learnt to make the next one work. I'm ok with that.
My quarrel is that we should be taking this leap at 30c plus per share, not 3c...
Let's hope this one works exceedingly well and we recover the self induced damage by our wonderous or ponderous leadership team.
