There are many different types of memories; all of which have different characteristics (speed, retention, cost, energy consumptions, etc, etc) - which make them suitable for different applications / use-cases. I realise there is lots of frustration here; but what 4DS is doing is VERY different; and after much research over the years I have not been able to identify other companies working on 'area based' reram - so as per most recent interview/presentation - the 4ds technology is unique (and the most advanced of it's kind - since no other known companies exist that are working on 'area based' reram). I 100% agree with you, that just because we are unique, and even if it works; does not mean the technology will be adopted - but that is the risk all new tech companies/startups understand (and due diligence to ensure 'product/market fit' should have been well and truly done). There is lots to like from the tech itself - now whether management can position it accordingly with the market is another story - BUT - now we've got Infineon...who will no doubt be ablel to support this process. Patience. I repeat. Patience.
