I am upbeat about this tech and feel we could be in for a big payday if the tech is groundbreaking. I have confidence in Ting.
But:
When you converse and interact with certain individuals over time you get to know how good they are in their field, how smart they are and why they are as successful as they are. The smart ones stick out, they tend to impress on multiple occasions, not just once off. Ting falls in this category; he knows his stuff and displays that self-confidence (not arrogance) because of his knowledge in the tech.
You also get the individuals that are not very good, they show that they are out of their depth on multiple occasions, talking up their skills and abilities, trying to prove they belong, covering their short falls.
DM has shown on multiple occasions he falls into the latter category. No increase in his knowledge, multiple stuff ups with capital raising negotiations, unsubstantiated claims (SP price, company value, no more CR’s, PL’s are on time, sale imminent, we were approached, etc, etc) terrible communication, being unprepared for meetings and questions and finally aggression and anger towards shareholders when he is questioned. Proven again with his unsubstantiated claims at the Bell Potter presentation.
So, the conundrum in my mind is if the tech is great and Infineon decides to purchase the tech, they would have concluded DM is out of his depth and he would have no idea the true value of the tech. Therefore, we could get fleeced, and the tech could be sold at a price which is nowhere near it’s true value. Do we want Infineon to buy or another company that has not previously dealt with DM.
In conclusion, the tech has the potential to be great, thanks to Ting. There is high chance that our return will be a hell of a lot lower due to DM.
It is like completing a job and being told you are only getting paid half of what you agreed to.
I am in here to the end, but will always vote against DM.
