DRAM (DynamicRandom-Access Memory) is a technology that describes a type of computer memorychip. The basic design was patented by Dennard and IBM in 1968.
While the technologyitself is widely used and has been developed by many companies, a few majorplayers control most of the production and sale of DRAM chips.
The DRAM market is dominated by Samsung,SK Hynix, and Micron (theprimary producers and sellers of DRAM chips). These companies supply DRAM to various industries, including electronics manufacturers like LG, which uses DRAM in products like monitors.
