With the focus on next gen tech, if 4Ds has cracked the holy grail of near dram speed, retention equal or better than flash, plus low power consumption, $4 billion might be cheap. No one will want anything else, complete monopoly of the server space and a lot more.
Staying onboard with WD if they buy it, might be the plan, it will propel them like the iphone did to apple.
