Basically


You will receive one of two things or a combination of both.

They are 1) cash for your shares. Straight into your nominated account.

Or 2) Scrip for your shares. You will be set up with a brokerage account through the M&A firm (eg: JP Morgan creates a brokerage account for you should they be handling the TO transaction). And JP Morgan will handle the transaction for you and all of a sudden you will have a brokerage account with them that holds Western Digital shares instead of 4DS (the value of those WD shares being the value of 4DS shares at take over, eg: $0.96 cents a share at a $1B USD TO)

Or combination of both cash in your bank and WD shares.
