There's no rule or timeframe to have held shares to be eligible, so long as you're holding as at an execution date depending on the circumstance of the T/O. One thing worth considering is the 50% CGT discount for having held shares for a 12 month period, of which receiving cash would be a trigger for an event, which could prove to be a material amount in the case of 4Ds and the size of your holding
