’Scrip’ is just shares in the company doing the buying.
If they buy in cash alone … (I think unlikely ) then you won’t need the W8BEN.
My hope is that the buyout figure will be so big that none of them will be able to pay in cash alone.
I think there is a very big chance that WD will not be the eventual buyer if we are successful at SCM let alone eventually universal memory. Who knows how much they are able to play around with speed v retention to suit different applications. So much yet unknown to us.
