Four household names is an interesting concept. I do not think it will rest with only four once word got out.
Obviously, we as shareholders are naturally in favour of the highest bidder.
So, my question is, what would IMEC's philosophy be? Being a non for profit organisation, are they interested in the benefiting the masses, or the deepest pockets. The choice is chip maker or chip buyer. The maker can supply to all except for political restrictions, where as the buyer can restrict the supply to its brand of products reducing competition and advancing their own agenda. Monopoly being anti competition.
It is a sensitive situation. Does a non-invitee get their nose of out place? Should money be the deciding factor? Morals vs morals.
