You need to keep this in context. We're not the only company in the game and the fact that Ting and Peter continue to state that they "know of no competitors" even as recently as the Gold Coast presentation is very concerning. Our competitors have teams that consist of more than 1 person with multi-million (some even billion) dollar budgets.

TSMC now capable of 3D stacking memory directly on top of SoCs getting around the bottle neck issue (but not power) + have their own functional and marketable RRAM chip.
KAIST are very close to replacing NAND with DRAM capable speed - something 4DS originally attempted to achieve, including reduction of power use via PCM.
IMEC are very close to replacing SRAM and creating high-speed, low powered neuromorphic memory chips via their STT-MRAM - something 4DS is *currently* targeting.
INTEL is looking at 3D stacking DRAM + reducing power usage, which gets around the scaling issue.

Actually.. maybe 4DS just needs to attend this workshop so they have a clue what their competitors are up to. Most of these papers are too new for me to access, so unable to determine just how relevant most of them are. Once I have access, I'll possibly share my thoughts on how it could impact the valuation for 4DS's IP.

Also side note someone made a post that 4DS contains 33 global patents, etc etc. So we should probably clarify that the majority of the patents are owned by 4DS Inc. a US Conneticut company (registered in that state for the favourable tax and corporate laws) with Guido as the CEO. That if 4DS plan to market towards AI, we can probably rule out any Chinese company from being able to acquire the IP.
