I can't guess about the other thoughts but share price manipulation prior to a takeover offer or similar ??? ... I doubt it simply as it would create negative goodwill (if discovered) at the very time two companies are trying to do a deal.
Otherwise SP manipulation (down) could possibly be for accumulation purposes by a third party ... IMO everything looks very normal here.

Interesting few days coming up ... China stock issues ... do the concerns spread OR does money flow into the US market with good tech earnings?
