    Also if $8bn is the annual revenue for SIP market, the overall market capitalisation would be at least 20x the revenue (because it's a steady revenue in a broadly safe market) l so let's say it's actually worth $160bn.

    I looked up two SIP examples, SoftBank spun out "ARM" which NVIDIA subsequently bought for $40bn and Synopsis inc is like $70bn market cap.

    its possible companies that size could put up bigger offers than we might think, but again they'd have to compete with the "household names".
