Correct, over the long term fundamentals rule. When the news drops it acts as a step change to the SP. In between TA can have more sway over the short term direction. The problem is you never know when news is going to drop! I'm buying for the long term, but trying to use the charts to optimise my orders. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
