Agree bonus options tend to be unlisted.
I think one obvious reason would be to save the company from the compliance and administrative costs associated with listing the options on the ASX - presumably ASX charges fees and costs.
I'd rather the company save this cost and spend this more wisely in its R&D and operations instead.
