Project Developer Panel
This panel will feature projects by leading UCG developers that are pursuing opportunities in at least seven countries: Australia, Canada, India, Pakistan, the United States, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam. The audience will hear several perspectives on what features make ideal UCG projects, including reserve quality, depth, thickness and location, energy market proximity, infrastructure, regulatory environment and geopolitical risks.

Cougar Energy: Len Walker, managing director
Melbourne-based Cougar Energy is actively developing a number of UCG projects, including the 400-MW Kingaroy project, near Wandoan, Queensland, Australia, a 400-MW facility in Pakistan's Thar coal province, and an Indian project with Essar Oil. Cougar maintains a formal licence agreement with Ergo Exergy Technologies of Canada for the provision of Ergo Exergy's UCG technology to all of its UCG projects. Mr. Walker has been asked to review the state of development of these projects as well as describe the issues of managing multiple developments across continents.
