What rubbish. Cannabis for example wasn't prohibited until the 30's so plenty of people would and did use it regularly without consequence. And a lot of other now prohibited drugs were freely available until around the start of the last century when big oil/pharma etc came into prominence and the power over government that came with it.
There are a lot of reasons why some people are going ballistic at this point in history but if you need to simply blame 'drugs' (so you can have a simple enemy to attack) then start with the SSRI's that most of these shooters are on. Or don't they count because they are 'legal'? Otherwise do you have the information about what drugs these shooters were on that caused them to commit those crimes?
But if they did those things wearing a uniform and working for government then they would be celebrated as heroes! Go figure.
