I am trying to start a firestorm of controversy here, you are not helping by being so reasonable jantimot! I am sure 4WDs meet some people's needs but the proliferation on the roads gives me the pip and I don't think they should be tariffed less than other road users.

Personally I think he would drive a VW Beetle with a dancing Elvis on the dash and a magic happens rainbow on the back window.
