On a serious note, the tarriff on 4WD should be scrapped altogether. The tarriff is supposed to even out unfair practices from overseas competition and give the Aussie car builders a fair go (no, I don't want to go down the track of efficiencies, workpractices etc!). Nobody builds, or as far as I know, intends to build, a 4WD in Oz, so a tarriff is superfluous.
Just filled up the Patrol again, 10.15l/100km. Might be down to about 9.5 when it's fully run in.
