re: 4wd - time to bad them in the city yeah well I've seen phtots of a woman struck by a average sized car doing about 30 kmh. her feet got tangled up uner the bumper and the whole of her body was more or less contorted over the bonnet.
Most sensible drivers driving truck like 4wd know their limitations.
Would you drive a semi at 60kmh down a suburban street?
Also with the larger 4wd you actually have a better chance of seeing what is in front and even if it has sh!t breaks you can pull up or veer off quicker.
Also kids with reduced peripheral vision are more likely to see a bigger object than some sleek silver low hung modern vehicle which lulls the inattentive driver behind the wheel, i.e the one with music playing and really has no grasp of mechanics.
So really the argument about kids and 4wd applies to all these impatient stuck up moms wanting to drop their kids of and theyre private schools.
