Pundits will tell you that a vehicle with 4WD capability is to get you out of trouble...not into it...lol
Getting out in a half decent 4WD can be rewarding as you can go places many people never go, and see some really beautiful unspoiled country, places that the average tourist can't go.
I see lots of people's day being ruined because either they don't prepare, or they attempt to go places their vehicle is just not capable of.
Stradbroke Island off Brisbane for example does not allow "all wheel drives" to go on to the beach because they are just not a proper 4Wd and end up blocking and tearing up access tracks by getting bogged and having to be dragged out.
