Hi boatboy. It makes me laugh how many people get bogged at the beach.

I fish at blacksmiths beach on the NSW coast and it is renowned for being the softest sand. Every time i'm their fishing you will get people walking down to you to help pull them out, even $80,000 4WD's, you ask them whether they have a tyre pressure gauge or a snatch strap and the always say no.

If the drop their tyre pressure down to 13-14 psi (as long as you don't corner hard) and know your capabilities of your vehicle, you won't get bogged. You can sit there and watch them come to a stop, they know they're not going any where but they continue to spin the wheels until they drop their car to the floor pan.

Just prove you don't need a big powerful expensive 4WD, Jack Absalom drove an old mitsubishi sigma station wagon 2WD around Australia on sandy tracks that most of us would shake our heads at.
