A former Legacy Iron Ore Limited managing director could face up to 10 years in prison after she pleaded guilty to stealing $725,639.50 over a one-year period almost a decade ago.
Sharon Kia Le Heng, from Perth, Western Australia, pleaded guilty to the offence which took place between June 28, 2012 and November 6, 2013.
Ms Heng transferred the money into a bank account belonging to Regency Infrastructure over 13 separate transactions over the 18-month period.
The Australian Securities and Investments Commission said Ms Heng had concealed the transactions from the Legacy board.
Ms Hengy was a founding director of Legacy from April 20, 2007 to October 31, 2014.
A sentence mention will be dealt on September 23.
