hi redbacka, i've seen you post a lot of detail TA so i presume you're experienced. i have an off topic question to ask if you mind (sorry mods there's no PM on HC). when a stock has fallen heavily in a relatively straight line along with its sector, and is now going sideways, how do you tell if it's in accumulation or distribution? i bought a stock that did this thinking it's accumulation, the green days had higher volumes then red days, then all of a sudden the volumes switched and it turned out to be distribution. im referring to companies with no negative fundamentals, that simply fall with its sector.

conversely if a stock has risen a lot with its sector, anyway to tell? there are some stocks i've waited a long time to buy the pullback after a sharp rise, but they were accumulation.
