Losing Eon3 means losing their X10 Home Automation Strategy, which Mr. Soon has repeatedly explained is a major driver of revenue over the coming years. So, I am not sure the issue should be discounted so easily.
In terms of the Patents, I could only find two. The info available was limited as you can imagine but they both refer to “Broadband Powerline Access Gateway” (below)

As far as I know they do have deal with Corinex, but what are the terms of the deal? To be quite frank, who really knows with these guys. The information they release tends to be vague or incomplete a lot of the time.
