You're assuming the advertising is/has been high impact - I view it as just an extension of the company/investor presentations. The people who see the ads are already aware of it (the 'VIPs'), not really newbies - like why they are satisfied with releasing an indicative range of release dates, why they've missed some targets already (e.g. first paying customer in April - in the presentation), etc.
It'll come eventually, as it's pivotal in the company's development. Just need to be more patient...
