There are so may real world things they don't want you to know about or can't explain with any credibility. This stuff is no better or worse than the general idiocy of the mainstream religions. Show me one mainstream religion that doesn't have hundreds of ghosts in their closet. The new charismatic, come Pentecostal religions are all dancing, all singing nightmares of ignorance and egocentric preachers.
As for Charles Taze Russell, he seemed quite sincere.What is the problem with Masons? I've always found them to be nice people.
This guy could have looked into their teachings on transfusions, tertiary education, women being subordinate to men, having no ability to contradict the elders, even when they are clearly wrong, their anti-science teachings, just to name a few. These things actually hurt people. They ruin lives. They destroy families. Forget this nonsense about secret images and Masonic symbols, etc.
And like all Christian groups, they love to suggest that every other group is in bed with the devil but themselves, this poor imaginary being.
