Despite my immense excitement at the prospect of a $4.50 takeover bid, I must admit that something does smell fishy here. As @stapleslarge so rightly pointed out, the recent chain of events looks a little suss... let's take a look ;

1. The Aurora/Cann takeover talk news is "leaked" to the AFR with a tasty looking price point (well above current value) suggested.
2. Cann "scrambles" to release an announcement addressing the "leaked' takeover news, which btw, doesn't really confirm anything other than acknowledging the speculation but denying that a formal approach has been made by Aurora.
3. 3 days later (today) Cann addresses the ASX Compliance Query, stating has indeed been compliant.

Just my 2c, still holding in hope that what I just wrote is completely wrong.
