    Ditto to Lory's post.

Essentially we should be eating a 80% water based diet but in todays world, thats not so easy. If you use common sense you can live a healthy life by moderating and removing certain crap that the weatern diet has.

More importantly it's not just what you're eating but how you eat.

Mixing protein and carbs isn't recomended for digestive reasons. (Eg: steak and potatoe) Tip: eat your steak with a salad instead, or if you must have mash potatoe eat them seperate, preferably eat the potatoe 1st as it will digest much quicker than your steak.

Eat meat during middle of the day. (sleeping on a stomach full of meat isn't good for digestion)

Agree on fruit being 1st, eat fruit on empty stomach, and don't mixed certain fruits together, and allow at least 10 to 15 minutes before eating anything else it will help with digestion.

Enzimes are important for vitamin absorbtion, more absorbtion than taking a multi vitamin if eating right.

"Fresh" fruit and vegetables are the best source. If you cook veges you destroy the enzimes, so steam or lightly boil or if you can handle eat them raw.

Same apply's with "fresh" fruit juice, once you make one drink it right away, if you leave it out the enzimes die and you'll just be left with mostly sugar. That's why it's pointless to buy pre made juices they are just sugar and water with color. (the sugars in a "fresh" fruit juice are not refined) (sugar types are in depth topic but pays to understand)

Aim to have a predominately alkaline diet, Acidic PH levels of your blood is how disease starts.

Lemons are great start. A slice of lemmon into a glass of water each morning will help reduce the acidity levels. (lemons are predominately alkaline when ingested)

Good to see people on HC have interest about eating right and taking good care of themselves. It's easy to learn this stuff and will only benifit your life. All the best.
